Working with the planet, not just on it.

Taking better care of the planet is a priority these days and Green Build is a focus for Alpine. Here are just a few things Alpine is doing to tread lightly on the planet:

• Alpine Energy Solutions offers Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® analyses on new and existing homes to make sure they are as energy efficient as possible. This is a big deal for the environment because every year homes emit substantially more greenhouse gasses into the Earth’s atmosphere than cars.

• Alpine Drywall developed a process to grind up gypsum drywall and work it into the soil rather than sending it to the landfill. This is significant given that drywall accounts for 26% of the construction waste stream every year. Even better, the ground up material leaves behind inert, naturally occurring gypsum minerals that provide valuable nutrients to plants and turf grasses while improving water filtration.

• Alpine Insulation uses environmentally friendly products, like water-based spray foams.

• Alpine Paint uses paint with low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to reduce emission of toxins into the air.
